TusStar (Malaysia) Promotes "Generative AI" Technology Park Eco-Construction in Johor Bahru


On November 17, 2023, Ravenna Chen, the CEO of TusStar Malaysia, was invited to Johor Bahru with Raymond Siva, Senior Vice President of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation(MDEC) and Kamelinder Singh, Foreign Digital Investment of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to discuss with Iskandar Investment Berhad, a Malaysian state-owned company, about the proposal for a "Generative Artificial Intelligence" technology park eco-construction in Johor Bahru. 


The meeting was attended by Shukri Draman, Head, Asset Management & Investment, Mydiana Madzlan, Ecosystem Builder, Ammar, Vice President of Medini, Fatin, Vice President of Medini. 



The core objective of this meeting was to expand business operations, integrate into the local ecosystem, and drive the local business expansion of TusStar Malaysia, covering the entire Malaysia with incubation services and comprehensive support for local entrepreneurs.

During the discussions, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation(MDEC), along with Iskandar Investment, expressed strong support for the proposal of the "Generative Artificial Intelligence" technology park project in Johor Bahru. Both parties expressed anticipation for TusStar, as a representative of the Chinese innovation and incubation ecosystem, to establish a presence in Johor Bahru and serve as a bridge for innovation between Johor Bahru and Singapore. 


After the meeting, Mydiana Madzlan, the Head of Ecosystem Development, personally invited Ravenna Chen to visit the existing shared office space and engage in in-depth discussions with representatives of innovation and technology companies such as Terom and Runcloud. The visit also included a comprehensive inspection of facilities such as the sports arena, student apartments in EduCity, and community facilities under Iskandar Investment Berhad, aiming to further assess the development potential of the future ecosystem. 




It is hoped that this meeting will lay a solid foundation for the advancement of this strategic cooperation, contributing to the establishment of an advanced "Generative Artificial Intelligence" technology park ecosystem in Johor Bahru and jointly promoting innovation and development in the region.
